3ecDear Maria:We have a medium/dark oak catniebs from the 80’s in our kitchen. 2 years ago we cleaned, re-stained and re-varnished since my husband was afraid of painting them. He is now ready. We also changed the back-splash to 4″ square white tiles, and changed the counter tops to melamine, with a special edging that makes them look like corian in beige and white speckles. Our appliances are new, but white, and right now we do not have funds to change them to stainless steel.I am worried if I paint the catniebs all white, walls are white and the extra Ikea catniebs that are white on one wall, I will create a total white-out.(My appliances stay white). My floors are wood, not oak, like the rest of our house, but pine, narrow slats, and have that yellowish stain. How do I bring this kitchen into modern times? What color should I paint the catniebs and what to do with the pine floors?Thank you,Susan

Love Grey Curtains For Living Room, on the other hand, however, made-to-measure curtains have a number of advantages over ready-made. Yes, they cost more; yes, you need to measure more carefully and you’ll usually have to wait longer for your curtains.

633Dear Maria:How I love your blog! We are the lucky owners of a dreeadd early 90’s kitchen with raised panel “honey oak” cabinets that are in desperate need of updating. They are structurally sound and I like the style, but just not the oak, so I am going to paint them. We have put in natural ash wood floors througout the house (ash has shades of blonde, creams and light browns.) My kitchen walls are painted a “spring grass green” color; which I like but am not against repainting. Our countertops are run of the mill laminate in an off white/very very light beige speckled color. Our appliances are black with some stainless steel accents (front of fridge and top of range) Are you cringing yet?Ok, so now comes the hard part; painting the cabinets. The parts of the kitchen that will stay are the cabinets, appliances and floors; the counters will eventually be replaced and we will add a backsplash of some kind. I really want to paint the cabinets an off white, almost beige color (like Natural Wicker.) Assuming the countertops are replaced I would like something in the chocolate family. Will all this clash with the black appliances? Should I just paint the cabinets a shade of white white instead? And then go for a charcoal/black countertop? The latter seems to me to coordinate better, but I love browns, chocolates, and creams. And then there’s the question of the backsplash. I was thinking a subway tile. Any input you can give would be so much appreciated! Thank you.

I love this shot, even though I can’t quite put my fnegir on why! I do like rain on windows so it could be that Theres a dark clarity to the foreground and a bokeh blur in the background maybe its that! Great capture!

2deI love your site I have a 1946 Brick cottage and the kihcten is in need of remodel. I have wood floors that are a light golden (needs refinish or replace) I have new white appliances. I want to purchase wood unfinished cabinets and paint them. What color should I use? Also, I need help on the counter top color, wall color and flooring. The kihcten is small with two regular size windows which provides some light.I thought about black and white Also, what window treatments should I use? I have large baseboards that are painted white.I do not have a large budget -the colors and type of countertop are presenting a challenge to me.Thanks Carol in Tennessee24

Gorgeous all, a few of my favorite vgenettis here — especially the first image and yummy twirled drapes in the second. I adore a touch of horn mount thrown in for good measure too.Alcirathenerochronicles.blogspot.com

This is a message to the webmaster. Your website:http://curtainscolors.com/grey-curtains-and-drapes/grey-curtains-for-living-room-1/ is missing out on at least 300 visitors per day. I came to this page via Google but it was difficult to find as you were not on the front page of search results. I have found a website which offers to dramatically increase your traffic to your website. I managed to get over 10,000 visitors per month using their services, you could also get lot more targeted visitors than you have now. Hope this helps :) Take care.
